Our Region

The North Queensland region in this tropical location is a sight to behold on the ground and even more spectacular from the air !

Surrounded by a rich hinterland of tropical rainforests and waterfalls, Townsville is the gateway to heritage gold-mining towns, the stunning outback, scenic islands and, of course, the Great Barrier Reef. The region extends north to captivating Mission Beach, south to the rustic Burdekin, west to historic Charters Towers and to the east – the expanse of the Great Barrier Reef and it’s many islands.

Nautilus Aviation currently provides scenic flight charters on a daily basis with our R44 Clipper Helicopter and our Cessna C-208 Amphibian Seaplane. We currently hold GBRMPA permits to operate the whole length of the Queensland coastline and outer reefs.
