Barramundi fishing in the Top End of Australia, particularly during the ‘run-off’ season (March to April), is renowned for its abundance and trophy-sized fish, with anglers targeting creeks, rivers, and estuaries where barramundi congregate to feed.
The scale and remoteness of the areas visited means we rarely come across others. As a result, the barramundi stocks are consistently high with great variety increasing your chances of success. Every season, one or more customers land their bucket-list ‘metery’ on a HeliFish trip.
The habitats we visit include all the way south to the abundant floodplains, coastal creeks and estuaries of the Daly River and Anson Bay region. Where we visit on a particular day will depend on a range of factors including the season, weather, rainfall, tides and recent fishing success.
